Dari Language School

Welcome to the VAYA Dari Language School, where we create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and socialize within the Afghan community. Our school operates every Saturday during the school term, offering students the opportunity not only to master the Dari language but also to engage in positive interactions and foster healthy development.

Mission:

At VAYA Dari Language School, a division of the Victorian Afghan Youth Association, our mission is to preserve and promote the rich heritage of the Dari language and culture. Since February 2022, our non-profit, non-political organization has been dedicated to offering Dari reading and writing classes. Our primary objective is to uphold the linguistic and cultural traditions of students from Afghan backgrounds while also raising awareness and appreciation for the Dari language among the wider community. We believe that the Dari language is a reservoir of Afghan thought, sentiment, values, and literary arts, and through our efforts, we aim to ensure its continued vitality and relevance.
