Building Bridges
Our project addresses the unique challenges faced by Afghan youth in Hume, such as:
Limited Social Integration: Afghan youth often struggle with isolation due to language barriers and cultural differences, preventing full participation in the community.
Cultural Diversity: Hume is diverse, but awareness of Afghan culture is limited. We aim to bridge cultural gaps through cultural exchange and celebration.
Youth Empowerment: Afghan youth often lack the resources to develop leadership skills. We provide mentorship and training to help them grow into confident leaders.
Community Engagement: By involving Afghan youth in community activities, we promote active participation and pride in their contributions to Hume.
Sustainability: We aim to create lasting support structures through partnerships with local organizations, ensuring that Afghan youth continue to thrive in the community.

This is one of the things we do best
Through our project, we aim to achieve:
Increased Social Integration: Foster connections between Afghan youth and the wider Hume community, promoting understanding and belonging.
Improved Cultural Awareness: Promote greater understanding and appreciation of Afghan culture, creating a more inclusive community.
Leadership and Empowerment: Equip Afghan youth with the skills needed to lead and make positive changes in their community.
Active Community Engagement: Encourage Afghan youth to take an active role in community service, building responsibility and citizenship.
Sustainable Support Networks: Establish youth-led networks to ensure long-term support and empowerment for Afghan youth.
Contribution to Safety and Crime Prevention

While not directly focused on crime prevention, our project indirectly creates a safer environment by:
Promoting Inclusion: By helping Afghan youth feel connected to their community, we reduce the risks of isolation and antisocial behavior.
Empowering Youth: By equipping Afghan youth with leadership skills and purpose, we help them avoid risky behaviors and peer pressure.
Positive Role Models: Through community engagement and mentorship, we provide Afghan youth with constructive activities and role models to guide them toward responsible choices.
